With over a decade of experience and millions spent on Facebook and Google ads, I’ve learned a critical lesson: websites don’t cut it. Why? Because a confused mind doesn’t buy.
That’s where marketing funnels come in! They offer a clear, distraction-free path, guiding your visitors to take action seamlessly.
Remember, simplicity is key. Simplified funnels lead to higher conversions.

Website Vs. Marketing Funnels
Friday, August 30, 2024
Would you take an easy $1 million, or a penny that doubles everyday for a month?
If I offered you a million dollars today or a penny that doubles every day for a month, which would you choose?
While the allure of a quick and easy $1 million might seem irresistible, the magic of compounding—The penny approach—Surpasses it by the end of the month.
By the end of 30 days, that single penny would have turned into over $10 MILLION.
This illustrates a powerful principle in wealth creation: True wealth is built gradually—not overnight.
Proverbs sums this up beautifully:
“Wealth gained hastily will dwindle, but whoever gathers little by little will increase it.”
—Proverbs 13:11
In our culture of instant gratification, it’s easy to fall for the temptation of 'get rich quick' schemes.
We hear stories all the time about lucky lottery winners, crypto traders making a killing, or startups that explode overnight.
Over time, these stories capture our imagination and fuel the belief that maybe wealth can come with the snap of a finger.
The reality, though?
These ‘get-rich-quick’ schemes almost NEVER work.
For every overnight success story, there are millions of untold stories of people who lost EVERYTHING in pursuit of a quick win.
The media might not find these stories glamorous enough to headline, but they are far more common and serve as a serious reminder of the risks involved.
And for the 0.000001% that do strike a home run, those quick gains are often followed by equally quick losses.
Think about it:
- How many times have you heard of lottery winners who end up bankrupt?
- Or the amateur investors who gamble on the stock market only to lose everything in a downturn?
Sure…The excitement of a quick buck is undeniable, but the consequences can be devastating.
Building lasting wealth, on the other hand, is a slow and steady process.
It involves setting clear financial goals, making consistent investments, and having the patience to see long-term plans through.
It's about the slow accumulation of assets that can provide security and prosperity for a lifetime (and beyond).
This same principle applies whether you’re growing a business, advancing in your career, or learning a new skill.
Success in these areas also isn't about finding a shortcut; it's about the power of consistent, cumulative effort.
For example, will your phone suddenly start blowing up with Shopify notifications the second you hit ‘launch’ on your online store? 👇
No.
But can you eventually build a 7 to 8-figure brand after continuous trial, error, time, energy, and effort?
100% YES.
This gradual, long-term approach isn't glamorous.
It isn’t ‘sexy’.
It doesn't make headlines.
But it does build empires and create lasting legacies.
So, as we ponder our goals—Whether financial, professional, or personal—Let’s not be swayed by the illusion of quick success.
Instead, let’s commit to the path of gradual, consistent growth.
To apply this approach, ask yourself:
- What small step can I take today towards my long-term goal?—Whether that’s investing $5 or reaching out to a potential client, choose one actionable task you can complete today that will move you closer to your overall objective.
- How can I make my efforts more consistent?—Maybe that means blocking out a specific time on your calendar each week to focus solely on your goal. As I always say, if it isn’t in my calendar, it DOESN’T EXIST!
- What resources or support do I need to sustain my efforts over time?—Think about what tools, knowledge, or people could help you maintain your commitment and increase your chances of long-term success.
To your success,
David

Why 1 team member is better than 3: Small Team? No Problem. Accomplish More.
If you’re like me, we can agree that quality is almost always infinitely better than quantity in all aspects of life. I’d much rather have:
- One loyal friend who's there for you in times of need, than a hundred acquaintances who disappear when sh*t hits the fan.
- One highly engaged employee who believes in our mission, vision, and values, than a team of ten who clock in and out without passion and alignment towards our values.
Why?
Because at the heart of any success—Be it personal, professional, or spiritual—Lies the essence of genuine commitment and excellence.
Quality, not quantity, symbolizes depth and value. It's about investing in relationships that enrich, work that fulfills, and actions that make a lasting impact.
Consider the biblical story of Gideon’s Army, for example. 👇
During the seven-year oppression of Israel by the Midianites, G-d chose Gideon to free the people. Initially, Gideon gathered a large force of 32,000 men to confront the Midianite army. However, G-d instructed Gideon to reduce his army significantly, first by sending home those who were afraid, and then by selecting men based on how they drank water. Of all the men, only a small handful drank the water by bringing it up to their mouths with their hands. He sent the rest home, leaving Gideon with only 300 men (~1% remaining).
With this small army, he set out to wage war against an army of 135,000!
This drastic reduction emphasized that strength is NOT based upon numbers…But in quality, unity of purpose, and true faith. This internal strength among Gideons’ chosen 300 ultimately led them to victory.
This same principle holds true for us Entrepreneurs.
It's not the size of the team that counts, but the passion, dedication, and alignment with the company's mission, vision, and values that truly make the difference. Add in a bit of faith and you are moving in the right direction.
Think about it…
Would you rather:
- Hire three team members who each submit “meh” quality work, show minimal initiative, are not passionate about the company mission and values, and do just enough to get by?
OR…
2. Invest in one superstar who not only does a better job than all three of them combined, but does so because they're focused, determined, and passionately aligned with your company's mission, vision, and goals?
The choice seems clear, yes?
When Elon Musk took over Twitter—(Now X)—He decided to take a similar approach.
Musk recognized that for X to not just survive but thrive, it needed not just employees but contributors—Individuals actively engaged in and passionate about the company's future.
So when he stepped in as the new owner, he began evaluating how he could streamline operations and cut costs to maximize profits.
Then, he realized something…
It was discovered that a significant portion of the team contributed very little to the company's daily operations or long-term goals.
When Musk began asking employees, "What do you do all day?" many couldn't provide a clear, direct answer.
This led him to make one of the most controversial (yet profitable) moves in the company’s history: He laid off about 80% of X's staff.
This decision was not taken lightly, nor was it done without facing a wave of backlash and negative headlines from the media. Critics questioned the morality and long-term sustainability of such drastic cuts. In fact, many analysts believed that this decision would force X to eventually go out of business.
But—Yet again—Elon Musk somehow managed to prove his critics wrong. Fast forward to today, and X is operating the same with 1,500 employees as it did with 8,000 (if not BETTER!)
At Business Nitrogen, we operate on a similar belief. When people learn that we’re the only 7-time Two-Comma Club and 8-Figure Award-Winning ClickFunnels Certified Agency that is also a Marketer of the Year, they automatically assume we must have HUNDREDS of employees.
They're often surprised when I tell them, "Nope...There's under 30 of us!"
How are we able to accomplish so much with such a small team? Simple: We prioritize quality over quantity and focus on small levers that move big doors in every aspect of our operations.
Each member of our team is not a cog in a machine, but someone who is deeply committed to helping achieve one of our biggest, hairiest, most audacious goals:
Positively impacting 1 billion people worldwide through clients implementing our ethical marketing and sales strategic solutions by December 31, 2030.
So, this week I want you to think about how the principle of quality over quantity applies to your own life and business. Ask yourself:
- How can I apply the lesson of Gideon's Army to make my team or network stronger, even if it means being smaller?
- Who are the "300 soldiers" in my life or business—Those few who bring the most value, commitment, and alignment with my goals—And how can I better engage and support them?
To your success,
David

This *ONE* Principle Can Make (or Break) Your Success
Have you ever done something nice for someone, and suddenly, you feel the universe working in your favor? Maybe you:
- Helped a neighbor carry in their groceries, and the very next day, you notice that the hard-to-get parking spot right in front of your building is finally empty for once. Or…
- Volunteered extra hours on a project without being asked, going above and beyond for a client. Soon after, that same client refers you to a major new account, significantly boosting your business.
These moments might seem like pure luck or mere coincidence, but they’re actually rooted in something much deeper.
In fact, it’s a biblical principle that has stood the test of time:
“There is one who scatters [gives freely] and yet is given more, and one who withholds from [giving] what is proper, only for a loss. A generous person will become rich, and he who sates [others] shall himself become sated as well.” —Proverbs 11:24-25
This wisdom from Proverbs suggests that the more you give, the more you receive.
When you're generous—(Not only with your money but with your time, effort, and kindness)—It sets off a chain reaction. The goodwill you spread comes back to you, often in ways you didn't expect.
I was taught this concept at a young age. Ever since, I adopted the practice of helping and/or adding value to others without any expectation of getting something in return. Whether it was volunteering, going the extra mile, or simply being there for friends and strangers alike…My aim was always to give, to plant seeds of kindness and value wherever I could.
People often question this mindset, especially in a world that seems to operate on a 'quid pro quo' basis. I often hear comments like: "Why are you doing that?”
“They're not paying you. Why invest your time and resources?" My answer is simple but deeply rooted in my belief system: I'm planting seeds.
And while I may not see the immediate fruits of these efforts, I trust that these seeds will grow into a forest of opportunity, relationships, and yes, even financial prosperity.
And you know what? It works. Time and time again, I've seen how these acts of generosity come full circle. New business opportunities, friendships, and a forest of blessings have resulted from planting these seeds, affirming the truth of Proverbs 11:24-25 in my life.
But I've also seen the other end of the coin, where not giving—(or being stingy and greedy)—can lead to missed opportunities and a lack of growth. 👇
The TRUTH Behind Blockbuster’s Bankruptcy
Back in the day, renting movies from Blockbuster was a weekly tradition for many of us, including my family. But there was a catch—High late fees.
Misplace a movie or forget to turn it in on time, and Blockbuster would slap you with a bill that felt more punitive than reasonable.
These super high (and frankly ridiculous) fees didn't just irritate customers; they symbolized a business model that, in hindsight, seemed to prioritize penalties over customer satisfaction.
Sure, this worked for a while…Until Redbox and Netflix came along.
Instead of charging unreasonable late fees, Netflix understood something crucial. By focusing on what customers truly needed and wanted, they could provide immense value.
So…What did they do?
They came out with a new business model: Subscription-based movie rentals. With a small monthly fee, you can rent and exchange DVD movies easier, cheaper, and more efficiently. Here’s how it worked:
- Basic: $9.99/month; one disc at a time
- Standard: $14.99/month; two discs at a time
- Premium: $19.99/month; three discs at a time
They were generous in their business model, removing the pain points of high late fees and inflexible rental periods, and in doing so, they won the hearts (and wallets) of millions.
This generosity paid off in more ways than they could imagine. Netflix's willingness to give more—More flexibility, more convenience, more understanding of customer needs, helped them become the $250 billion+ company they are today.
Meanwhile, Blockbuster? Well…We know how that story ended. 😅
(To be fair, the switch to digital streaming was ultimately the BIG reason why they finally failed…However, even before this, they were on life support).
So, as we reflect on our own lives and the way we do business, let’s remember what happens to those who are generous with their time, money, and knowledge vs. those who are reluctant to give.
Think about Proverbs 11:24-25 and ask yourself:
- What seeds can I plant this week?
- How can I enrich the lives of those around me?
- How can I make decisions that not only benefit me but also create value for others?
To your success,

The Enemy of Done
We’re often called the big picture thinkers… the innovators… the ideators… the visionaries…
One of the big things that quickly deflate our excitement after we bring new ideas to our teams to implement is the speed at which they are implemented.
I’ll admit it…I was completely unrealistic in my expectations as far as the time and energy it took to get projects from concept to completion.
It was only until my project manager got on a video call with me and showed me exactly all the steps and moving parts involved in getting just one of these projects tasked, implemented, tested and then launched.
BTW: Highly suggest you do this at some point with your project manager. Not only is it a huge eye-opening experience…
- You’ll gain a clearer understanding of what it really takes to get a project off the ground.
- Knowing this information will give you a better insight when it comes to establishing project priority levels with your team.
- You’ll walk away with a deeper appreciation for your team and everything they do that goes into supporting you and your vision.
Doing this also gives you and your team the opportunity to figure out how to stream-line processes so projects can always be completed on time.
Of course there is very little we can do when it comes to manipulating the mechanics involved in each individual project, but there are a few areas that are well within our control.
One of the biggest mistakes we make that adds time to the clock is the idea that it has to be perfect.
Sometimes we strive for perfection rather than focusing on just getting it out the door and adjusting from there.
It’s all about movement…STOP getting hung up on the little things that aren’t going to matter tomorrow.
You know as well as I do that tomorrow’s idea will always trump the idea you have today…
Everyday you’ll discover something new, and you’ll see something you want to change.
Whatever you envision as “perfect” right now is irrelevant because it will change.
It will continually evolve.
The key is to create the momentum and just get it out there!
Then you can refine, adjust and improve.
Perfection is dangerous because it also causes deadlines to move. This of course results in exactly what we don’t want.
Delays.
Whether you want to hear it or not, another BIG cause of the delays we hate so much is US.
How often is a project held up because your team is waiting on you to get them what they need?
Maybe it's a video you promised you’d record.
Maybe it's an approval you need to make, or a decision that’s still up in the air.
From my point of view (and remember, I’ve seen the view from both sides), you have two choices (if you truly want to solve this particular problem).
Choice #1: Figure out a way to make the necessary changes to make it happen. Sometimes it’s as simple as adding time to your calendar to knock it out.
For me, if it’s not scheduled it doesn’t exist.
Period.
Choice #2: Get OUT of your own way. As Entrepreneurs, we love to have our hands in, well just about everything.
Most Entrepreneurs I know find it necessary to micromanage their team. It’s hard for us to “let go” and give our team the autonomy to do what we’ve hired them to do. This is a big hurdle for most business owners who want to grow and scale their companies.
They just find it hard to trust.
But just as “Perfect is the enemy of done”, “Micromanaging is the enemy of growth”.
There comes a time when you must allow the team you put in place to do their jobs.
Empower them to take ownership.
Give them the support they need only when they truly need it.
With that, never forget how important clarity is when it comes to communicating with your team about your ideas and vision.
As leaders, it’s our job to be clear and intentional when it comes to the long-term goal we want to achieve.
As always, simply comment below or message me if you want to chat and brainstorm ways to take your business to the next level.
To your success,
David
